I received a last minute request for a first birthday cake with a monkey theme. I had seen a pattern for a 3-d monkey in the 2009 Wilton magazine and really wanted to try it. The mold is a mini-bear and I just cut here and added fondant there to create the ears, arms and legs of the monkey. 
Isn't that a cute face?!
